The parts folder in 0.20

Recommended Posts

Now that all parts are saved somewhere else, what do I do with the old part folder. It still seems to have some parts but not others, and I don't know if it tries to load these parts or not. Would it be safe to delete it and everything, or do I still have to keep it?

Edit: Here is all that is in the old parts folder. I checked and all of the part files appear to be empty.

I believe the new part folder is for mod parts so as to separate them out somewhat.

Edit: Its so that older parts from mods can still be used due to the new config files

I just updated to v2.0 and of course now some mods don't work. shouldn't have pressed that button! anyone know how to revert back to .19?

Well, did you keep a backup of the game? If not, I suggest waiting until the mods get updated or .20.1 comes. The same thing happens for the Quantum fuel transfer node, and I had to delete it in order to even load the game.

Hey all, a little help with .20? I backed up my entire .19 folder so I think I can recover, but .2 does some strange things with parts. I know there is a new part file structure, but parts that are in the folder tree, don't show up in game. For example, I don't have any aero or science parts at all, and no mainsail engine under propulsion. I do have mods, and those folders are in the .2 folder scheme, but I can't load any saved ship, not even the "stock" ships that I haven't touched. Do I need to copy parts from my backup over to the new file structure manually? Any help at all will be appreciated. Thanks
