I heard that in new update i can put flag on celestial bodies, it's cool

But i need to knew does it's possible to replace stock flag for real country flag.

I want Poland flag because i'm Polish and it would be cool to put Flag of Poland on the Mun

PS. Soviet flag also would be cool, Jebediah saluting to soviet flag would be priceless

Yes it is possible. Go into the GameData folder, and make a new one.(Not sure if that works. If not, then just replace a current one.)

It's documented in other threads, but:

1. Create a folder in your GameData folder. The name doesn't matter; I called mine Local.
   
2. In that folder, create a folder named Flags.
   
3. Create a PNG file in your Flags folder. It should be 256x160, and can be anything you like.
   
4. I had to restart KSP after adding new flags for them to be recognised, but YMMV.
   

Once that's done, the new flag should be available for use.

Any image editor will work for you. Paint.NET is good. gimp is good. Photoshop is good.

Downloading premade flags? Google one, and scale it to the right size with one of the above.

Drop a 256x160 png in \GameData\Squad\Flags

Try using GIMP, it's essentially Photoshop, but free. Create the 256x160 png file, then place it in your Flags folder. Squad's pre-made flags are in: GameData/Squad/Flags, so feel free to replace/add flags there.

I put mine in GameData\(YourFolder)\Flags\ (replace "(your folder)" with whatever name you want) and it worked for me. BTW, As far as I know transparent backgrounds do not work. Granted I have my graphic settings low because it gets a bit laggy on my laptop, so maybe transparency would work better with the graphics set higher.. One of these days I'll build a new desktop, currently its barely ever used, over 7years old and down to one ram stick, plus the version of Linux doesn't like the video card so its stuck with generic drivers. Haven't tried KSP on it yet but I digress..... I just copied one of the stock flags to the folder I mentioned (in my case I made it GameData\Sma\Flags\) then opened it in GIMP cleared what was there saved it as both png and xcf (so I could make another at a later time). Then just created the flag.
