I've been playing this game for like two years now...

When I was experimenting about Spaceplane designs, I have found out that fixing a problem leads to another problem and fixing that problem leads to one more problem.

Yes - i experienced that too. It's hard. As others have pointed out.

But it is for that reason that it's enjoyable to get one working, then more enjoyment getting good at making them. I doubt I would still be an active player in this Alpha stage of the game if it was not for spaceplanes.

This is by far my favorite SSTO, and it's V/STOL too!!

Doesn't everyone have one of those :P

Some of the reasons spaceplanes are hard are valid gameplay reasons and some of them are bugs which Squad need to fix (and dont be shy to tell them), but here is a very simple small example SSTO called the Tern, which follows all the 101 rules and can successfully do an orbit and land on the runway with fuel to spare in v0.2, in case anyone wants to deconstruct it and see how it works.

It uses twin small liquid fuel engines {action key 5} either side of a single turbofan engine {action key 6}. You may have to watch where the fuel is drawn from in flight. When igniting the rockets its recommended to point it upwards!

I find the spaceplanes are extremely unfriendly to fly and not much fun for me personally. I have loved playing many flight sims in the past which is probably why I cant stand the flight in this game - its so unrealistic.

I suppose I would enjoy it more if there was a way of creating a reusable spacecraft and landing it unpowered. But that kind of thing is waaaay waaaay off in the development of this game judging from the present level of aerodynamic modelling fidelity.
