After that, I need to be deployed for about a month on the frontlines on non-combat duties, like working at the FOB, then I can apply to be a combat medic directly attached to a squad at all times. We would just co-ordinate the Medivac and try and help them at the FOB. If I'm a combat medic, I can help a soldier as soon as he's shot. More chance of him surviving.
