What can dock with what?

Hi guys

I was searching in the wiki but I'm not sure about which ports can dock with which. Looks like I've been wasting my time pointing ships to eachother without really docking. I'm not sure why I'm dry humping but I think it may have to do with the fact that I dont know what can dock with what.

Can someone please give me a matrix of what fits on what?

I tried to dock to the hubmax multipoint connector on one ship and then a clampotron docking port but it didn't really work.

Should I manually add docking ports to the hubmax on all the points?

Each docking port can dock with another docking port of the same type. The regular Clamp-o-Trons and the shielded docking ports can also connect with eachother.

If what you mean is you don't already have docking ports on the hub, you do need those on the hub, then you should be able to dock.

How about custom parts? Do they just copy the identities of the standard size ports? so they would work provided they have the same size standard?

I know for a fact that bobcat made his ISS docking ports unable to dock with anything besides themselves because they're set to:

size = 6

So you can manually change the docking ports ability to dock with another type of port, it's like this for the Clamp OTron and Shielded port:

size = 1
