Custom transparant flags?

i want to make my own flag and i need some help with making my own flag?

my main question is: :huh:can you make transparant flag?

i think there are enough videos on youtube but no one talks about transparency:(

I could be wrong but you can't make a transparent flag. I think this is due to the way that the .png file is used as a skin for a solid model which does not support transparency itself.

It would be really cool to have for things like pennants but I get the feeling that it is a bit of a nightmare to code.

Transparent as in you want to see through your flag? As far as I know it isn't possible, but you could make your flag background white or black instead.
