If you ever get stuck somewhere, or if you just want to learn the finer points of building and flying rockets, I'd highly advise taking a look at the Drawing Board (link in my sig). There are a number of guides, tutorials, and other useful references in there, many of which are written specifically for new players. Don't be afraid to ask questions in the How To section of the forums either, as the people who frequently post there tend to be quite knowledgeable and experienced.

Cheers for the welcomes guys. I've not had much chance to play, done the tutorials but theres quite a bit to get my head around. I've had a play with the solid fuel boosters, how to i get the liquid fuel jets to ignite?!

You can also use Left Control to throttle down, in the off-chance you need to do that.
