Ask BlazingAngel about it as he was planning on doing that.

Also, here are the Athenas that I will do (before I try the Phase 2). Shouldn't take too long as they are all based on similar stages. Athena 1: Castor 120, Castor 30. Athena 2: Castor 120, Castor 120, Castor 30. Athena 3: Shuttle Derived 2 1/2 segment Solid Booster, Castor 120, Castor 30.

I'm not sure KSP would like anything bigger than 5m. Unless they start to upsize the VAB/Launch Pad. Definitely would not be accepting of an 8.4m object. I'd be happy to start on the Delta II's if you'd like!

8.4m scaled down at 64% is 5.376m ;)

From what I can remember, doesn't the Novapunch pack have 5m parts in it? And I 64% percent my parts so it would be ~5.4m as Netris said, and I mentioned earlier. But from experience, large parts can get a bit wobbly, which is what I am worried about

I think you should definitely go ahead and do the DeltaII CluelessModeler. I have a confession to make, and that is that while I was away my computer decided to go ahead and delete it's OS. This might cause a slight developmental hiccup. Don't worry though I have the files and am making arrangements to continue development while I find out what the hell happened to my computer. A sibling or two might die in the wee hours of the morning. . . . or I might have to tackle mother nature. I don't know yet.

Or it was a cunning ploy by cluelessmodeler to allow him to model the delta II :D

Also, I am personally against using pre made meshes for mods, if you wanted to make some payload I would rather you made your own, but I am not going to stop you by any means. It's just my opinion :)

No Disrespect to lando, but it's not a full x-37, just a shaped body and stock wings. (I'm assuming that's the one you linked to). An x-37 b/c is something that I would like to do, and I may have a go at it soon, I've been looking at stuff for it for a while now

You guys are making great progress. I've missed having an Atlas launcher!

Should I make some real life Atlas V payloads for you guys? I found some meshes of satellites on the nasa website, and want to make a mod out of them.

Instead of making the payloads, why not make some of the payload components for people to build their own? There are several real-life satellite busses that would be great to see as a pod part since we currently only have round 1m & 2m parts and only 0.5m probe parts (yes I know they can be scaled, but that's not the whole point). Integrate the thrusters/LFE into them for orbital maneuvering and you'll have the basis for people to build appropriately sized satellites using whatever addon parts they want be it ISA_Map, Kethane, RemoteTech, etc.

Having a few more dish and solar panel designs for satellite use would be nice too. Kinda missing only having panels designed for probes or big ships and nothing really in-between that has the right "heft" for a 1m or 2m satellite.

If you want to have a go a something, then by all means do :) I just didn't want help modeling the Atlas V because it was my first time and I wanted to pick stuff up as I went along.

I've just realised the amount of stuff I want to have a go at, Athena, Atlas V Phase 2, X-37, Juno, Atlas LV-3B. It'll be a challenge if I want to do all of that, but interesting at the same time

If I get a bit better at Blender, do you think I can model an X-37? I don't know how to get it working in game and I'm bad at texturing, but I could try and model it, you could make any tweaks if you wanted.

Yep! You just need, whatever solar panels are made of, a soldering iron, maybe some super glue, rubber wheels, and uh... yeah, I think that's it.

You missed out Duct tape from that list, everything needs duct tape
