Getting out to Minmus is good practice for later interplanetary missions -- especially going back and forth between the Mun and Minmus is a great way to practice for transfers between planets without using up much fuel.If you ever find yourself at a particularly frustrating point and need help, I'd highly advise checking out the Drawing Board (link in my sig), which has a number of useful tutorials and player aids.
