Greys
It's a ruler! The whole stick is ten meters long and one meter wide with texture based markings at each meter, and 0.01 meter, I intend to figure a way to make 0.1 marks as wellDo note, this is not 'intended' to actually stay on your ship when you leave the VAB/SPH, but it canTo make use easier the center of the model and therefore center of mass is located squarely at one end where the surface attach and node are, so it will, repeat WILL behave strangely out in the world.I also intend to make an octagonal scale plate for measuring diameters/radii and footprints, and another octagonal plate with angle markings. Mihara
Ooh, that should finally solve the problem of measuring stock parts for good.

Greys
Yay Centi Marks~As you can see here this is teh FL-R25 tank, and it is 5 deci, 3 centi less than the first meter mark, as such, rounding to the nearest solid measurable mark of course; it is 47cm or .47m tall. I'm quite certain this is sufficiently precise measurement.I believe with some manipulation of the texture sheet I could get it to contain Milli marks, but given my experience using the stick thus far I can confidently say that the game would not display them in anything approaching a legible form, half due to the limit on minimum zoom-in; I'm taking this picture in the flightspace because I can zoom in farther than in the VAB; and half due to AA blurring the lines.Links updated. Greys
I've decided to abandon the radial scale plates for the moment, the having textures reliant on roughly four thousand semicircular sections that cannot be simply generated via copy/pasting is just too much work for little gain.I've uploaded it to spaceport, you can find it here:I don't expect there will be any further development except as necessary with future updates to KSP.If you'd like to mess around with it, here are my assets. But it's not particularly hard to make yourself.Taking down all MediaFire and SpacePort linksRelease Thread here with new download: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/37196-20-x-Jeb-s-Big-Stick-For-all-your-large-measuring-needs-v1-0 Edited June 30, 2014 by Greys
