Rage097
Eating meat is perfectly normal and has nothing to do with murder.*gives imaginary rep point because I have no knowledge of how to actually do so*Yes. we have canines which are used specifically for tearing and cutting flesh. Rage097
Used for tearing meat. Doesn't mean that we have to use them. We don't use our appendixes. And they can be used to tear other things. Can we not have this argument. I'm not forcing my beliefs onto people, simply explaining them. I respect other peoples beliefs and would like them to extend the same courtesy.Via logic, why would we have canines if we aren't supposed to use them?I'll stop there. You still don't have THE SECRET
Mercy
We have a conscious to know what we are doing. And we know that murder is wrong.Murder is wrong. However, is it truly murder when it's simply to survive?I believe that if it were not for our caveman ancestors choosing to hunt animals, and they instead led a vegetarian life themselves then vegetarianism would likely be more widespread than carnivorism.Just a musing. I just am and explain why. You can eat meat as long as you want if you so wish. Just respect my diet beliefs.Edit: True, Mercy, but we don't have to murder now for food when we can survive eating plants and not animals. Uncle Mort
We don't use our appendixes. Not so ~ It seems that appendixes may act as 'reboot' for when our digestive systems lose their bacteria through illness.

Just respect my diet beliefs.Edit: True, Mercy, but we don't have to murder now for food when we can survive eating plants and not animals. We could indeed, and in many cases we should. It's mostly due to meat eating being something ingrained into the human race since the ancient ages that it's still going.I think in the future, we as a race will become wiser and move to a mostly vegetarian diet so as not to destroy animal ecosystems, but for now I'll just keep eating meat as I'm far too lazy to switch to vegetarianism right now.Good on you though for doing what's right. satcharna
I see.I myself am a Christian to an extent. Not a bible nut by any means, however. Generally, I use the term "Modernist Christian" to describe my beliefs, however vain it seems. Also @ your latest post -That's very nice of you, respecting your elders.I'm not informed enough about christianity to know which group that would be, sorry. It's a terrible shame that some people don't respect their elders. My grandparents more or less raised me, and everything good about me comes from them. Respect is the least I can do to thank them. If we were all vegetarian, then there would be much more food in the world since growing animals takes up more land than animals per gram.Lets not argue about diets ok? It's a terrible shame that some people don't respect their elders. My grandparents more or less raised me, and everything good about me comes from them. Respect is the least I can do to thank them. It's not really an organised group, more of my personal beliefs. I worship, I believe in God and I try my best to follow the Bible's teachings. The modernist simple means I don't believe in the outdated concepts of female equality, homophobia, racism etc. that are in the Bible. And I can't help but feel I'll get in trouble for discussing religion here so I'll stop.I agree on what you said about respect being the least you can do for those who raised you, also. OdinYggd
Sorry everyone. This thread must be closed. Upon reviewing the data collected so far from the past few chat thread experiments, it has been determined by a group decision among the staff that they do not work well in this environment. The problems lay almost entirely with people not following forum-wide and thread specific rules regarding proper behavior and respect for other users. Because of this, I cannot allow a replacement thread to exist either. All subsequent chat-based and random insanity threads will be locked on sight until further notice. If conditions change, another experiment may be held. But in the present circumstances, this is unlikely to be any time soon.
