deadshot462
I'm hoping an astronaut takes a 3D kerbal to the ISS and shows it off floating on video.

Dweller_Benthos
Yeah, I could see this. I really don't think anyone would re-distribute them and if they did, they would be caught very quickly. And anyways, if SQUAD was that nervous about it, they could just upload them to Shapeways themselves. You can't download the 3D models from Shapeways.Yes, shapeways would have the 3D models in their system, no need for the user to have access to them. All they would need is your .craft file I would think. Problem is, looking at the prices of some of the other stuff they do, it would have to be a pretty small printout and that would ruin some of the detail. Maybe in a few years when 3D printing gets to a point where you can print larger sizes at less cost, it will be worth it.

Neomatt
Question for them as owns these figurines already.....Is it possible to convert them into bobbleheads? I was thinking for the dashboard of my car.....Erm... they're quite light but look pretty fragile. Not sure how you could "cut" the head and carve the interior without destroying the whole thing. Geschosskopf
@ Neomatt: BummerGuess we need to lobby for a specially made bobblehead version. The shape of a Kerbal's head and helmet compared to the body seems intended to be a bobblehead from the get-go .
HeadHunter67
I finally got mine today and I love it! More importantly, my wife loves it too, and doesn't mind what I spent on it. So it's all good
