Well if it was setup so you didn't need the parts you wouldn't need it. But as it stands you need the part.

Please please please update this mod and/or BXSS, they're absolutely my favorite mod for playing on my crappy computer.

I've updated a version of this, Its included in my scientific parts mod.

If you want just the working BOSS part i can supply that also if you send me a PM.

Going to update BOSS for 0.22 ASAP, shouldn't take too much.

As for BXSS, there's issues with compiling it for .NET 3.5 which I haven't been able to get around, it doesn't work with >3.5, so we'll see if I can get the time to work around it.

Regarding the future of BOSS/BXSS, I'm contemplating handing the project to someone else to maintain as I simply don't have the time these days. If you are interested in taking it over, please contact me.

I'll answer my own question here. I've got BOSS working in 0.22 without any major issues. The latest spaceport release seems to work just fine. Drop the BOSS directory into the GameData directory, and you're good to go. Have noticed some minor issues with the hotkey not working sometimes, but saving and reloading seems to fix it.

Alright, updated it to work with 0.23, work without a part and to be available from the Main Menu onwards. Renamed to v2.0 as it's barely the same code and is far from Alpha now, heh.

Hiding UI is being a bit screwy, just working on a fix here..

Update: Ah, the issue here is that because hiding is bound to F2 - a sensible binding so that it does it alongside the rest of the UI - it is hidden regardless of being bound within the plugin when F2 is pressed within the flight scene. Thus, if you end up hiding it in the VAB, transition to the flight scene and then want to bring the UI back, you also end up hiding the entire UI, which then hides the plugin as well. Probably best to bind it to something other than F2 for now, then. I'm thinking that P is probable best as that's not bound to anything in-game and I'll make it rebindable in the config.

How do you take a screenshot without the game hud showing using B.O.S.S?

Edit: Nevermind, I checked the PluginData and saw the config with the screenshot key. Could you post the instructions in the OP for other members?

Edit #2: The game crashed immediately after pressing Z.

Think of it like a high definition screen shot plugin. KSP compresses screenshots and doesn't produce the best quality even though it may seem like it. BOSS uses a few techniques to ramp up the quality to make professional quality screenshots. Supersampling and a few other processes coincide to produce top notch shots.
