How do i update my KSP?

A few days ago I went add-on looking and saw that many of the add-ons were 0.20.0, but I was 0.19.0 or 0.18.0.If you know how to update KSP to the latest version, please tell me how

I guess you must be suing the store, because steam would force you to update

Go here on the KSP store and log in with the same account you made when you bought the game. After you do so, right beneath "Add to cart" and "Buy a KSP gift code", there should be a new "Download" link. Click this, and you will have the option to download KSP 0.19.1 or 0.20.2 for your operation system. You will probably want to download 0.20.2, the older version is only kept because they want to keep at least one stable build for download.

Then a zip file will start downloading, when it'S done extract it and you have a new game folder. Now you're gonna want to thrash out the old KSP folder. You could transfer your save file and your craft files, but I don't recommend it much at it's known to cause an issue with launch clamps magically destroying your ship mid flight.

Also for installing mods, you might want to check how the new directory works, I think you can find it in the addon forums.
