ASCII Presents: Aragna Launch Vehicle

Recommended Posts

Here I present my latest Launch Vehicles. They have been a labor of love since my out look on launch vehicles changed around mid 0.18. This is the result of my latest paradigm shift. I hope you guys enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed making them! I'll send a rep point to the first one who is able to name the inspiration for this line of Launch Vehicle

The Aragna 1 Launch Vehicle was developed by ASCII when there was a need for small, simple rockets to carry small payloads to a standard Low Kerbin Orbit. Suitable for crew transfers, and small satellites, it can push up to 9 tons to Orbit

After the success of the Aragna 1 Launch Vehicle ASCII was commissioned to make a larger rocket capable of larger payloads to LKO. Utilizing a new technique of the "Common Booster Core" (CBC) The Aragna 3 is barely more than two Aragna 1 boosters strapped to the side. Still, this has been enough to boost 18 tons into LKO.

Breaking the thirty ton wall was a difficult process until engineers over at Jebediah's Junkyard were able to make a breakthrough in Engine Engineering. Using 4 CBCs, the Aragna 5 Launch Vehicle is capable of boosting and unprecedented 36 tons into LKO by utilizing a larger second stage "Skipper" stage.

Aragna 7 was born from a need to send very large things into orbit. Combining the Upper Poodle System (UPS) with the "Skipper System" (SS) and "a whole lotta CBCs", it is the most powerful and unstable rocket ever built. It is capable of sending 54 tons into LKO

GENERAL NOTES:

Action Groups:

1 to disengage gimballing on boosters.
