Hey all! A kerbal Newbie here!

Hey, im FlightNewbie and i bought kerbal space program a few months ago. I only just started playing it alot and got hooked on certain mods. What i love doing is getting rovers to different planets, but i have only made it to the mun. Even with mechjeb i cant get to the other planets I can get in to orbit without mechjeb but i cant transfer to other planets just yet. but ill get there. Any mods that could help me improve gameplay, maybe help me make bases or something?

mechjeb 2, if you can work out how to use it to get you to another planet...

As for bases, try the HOME starter kit. I haven't used it myself as i haven't yet got around to constructing a base on another planet.

If you're using mechjeb 2 then it can create and execute maneuver nodes for transfer burns to other planets. Make sure your rocket has enough delta-v though by comparing the minimum delta-v needed for the transfer to what you actually have. Mechjeb will tell you your total delta-v in the VAB and this map will help you see what you need.

Some mods that improve gameplay (for me anyway) are Kethane, Chatterer, KSP X, Ferram aerospace, B9 aerospace, KW Rocketry, Kerbal attachment system, H.O.M.E, Quantum struts, Quantum fuel transfer and many others which have yet to be updated for KSP 0.20.2.

As far as interplanetary travel goes, I'd highly recommend taking a look at some of the tutorials and other resources in the Drawing Board (link in my sig). If you're having trouble designing a ship to get you where you need to go, or if you need more specific pointers about getting to a particular destination, you can always ask the fine people who hang out in the How To section.
