Are the planets locked in orbit?

Do the planets have a static orbit or theoretically, could someone assemble a craft on the Mun with enough thrust to alter the Mun's orbit?

If that much is possible, couldn't you stop the Mun's the orbit? Therefore, causing the Mun to crash into Kerbin? This is just for theoretical, of course. No one is soulless enough to doom the entire Kerbal race.

Hello and welcome to the forums!

The planets are locked in orbit: this makes calculations very much simpler to code and a bit lighter on the CPU, and it doesn't really detract from the game because even the smallest moons would require more rocket than is feasible.

Have fun!
