Don't open chutes with time warp!!! :'(

I am very very sad, lost a lot of hard work and time, due to physics time warp...

in the descent stage in Eve using parachutes and boosters to slow me down, and was at the parachute's full extension altitude at 4x time warp... now my ship is now everywhere but at the landing site. it was incredible violent "disintegration" but somewhat entertaining

for all you other impatient pilots out there, take this to heart.

I hope for a fix to the physics muck ups during time warp... soon

Time warp and physics do make for some strange reactions. Make sure anytime your doing something mission critical that you hold F5 real quick to make a save point (F9 to load a quick save). That way if something does go off the rails you can give it another go

As chickenplucker points out, use quicksave/load.

There is also a warning about physics warp the first time you use it.

I don't think there will be a fix, because I don't think it's broken. The game uses PhysX, and running that fast just does not seem to be very accurate.

If anything a 'fix' will be that it is removed.

Yeah, physics warp is dangerous when your ship is under any kind of stress. Fuel tanks warp into the rest of the craft, parachutes and engines rip off... Don't use it when the loads on the ship change, like when deploying parachutes, burning engines etc. Just don't .

I never use time warp for launch or landing landers. I only use it in orbit or when re-entering capsules. Similarly, I've now totally stopped using the '[' and ']' keys to switch ships as it's lead to my craft disintegrating more times than I can count and that in turn drives me NUTS.

It gives you a warning not to use it because it's glitchy.

If you'd taken the time to read it, you'd have thought to save.

I found this out in my first times in KSP, the hard way...

I don't like waiting when there's plain green ground textures all around me.
