I don't read that, i watched program about space weather, they talks about solar flares, one astronomer said if such event happened today, we would have apocalypse, but i wondered does people in XIX realized that, malfunction of telegraphy lines is be cause of Sun, become little naughty

they for sure didn't blame Global Warming and CO2, those not having been invented yet as the latest evil that mankind has brought into the world to destroy itself.

More likely the equivalent nutters to modern day AGW beliebers instead blamed it all on some other immoral behaviour of themselves and their fellow men causing God to get angry, just as now we blame everything bad on our immoral behaviour of breathing out CO2, driving cars, and daring to heat our homes so we don't freeze to death in winter.
