I have a question, The Jedi Master when you did your tests did you use different controls for wheel movement and general navball rotation because if you do it helps a lot with the buggy wheels :]

Ok, I read this a while ago, I did an experiment, and I forgot to tell you I was doing an experiment! I'm sorry about that, but here is my entry:

What mode of landing on the Mun should we do?

Hypothesis: We use landers because if the lander crashes, we still have the CSM and we can return

Experiment: First, I made the lander+CSM config. Here we have me landing the lander:

Now, I ascend, but, oops! No fuel left! I'm in a suborbital trajectory, so eventually, I will crash:

So it has been determined: Landers allow us to not have a complete failure, with a downside of having to try to use less fuel and having to dock with the CSM, with a half exception of if you did a true Apollo LM lander (Descent stage, Ascent stage), Direct Ascent type of landings allow more fuel, and not having to dock with a CSM or somthing with a downside of running out of fuel/crashing means certain failure (unless you're stranded in orbit, which means rendezvous with rescue mission)

I would recommend Direct Ascent type of rocket for noobs at docking, like me, but if you want to recreate an Apollo landing, make a lander+CSM rocket

Yep, thats two Kerbals on a large metal plate that is hanging in mid-air without any support.

The entry could go into the "Air" category or into "General" for material sciences.
