I don't know why everyone assumes posting an update on the front page is a major announcement >.>. All I am saying is it really should be on the front page. Small or big, doesn't matter. An update is an update. No one is saying for them to release banners and videos trailers and hype the update >.>. I really think you all are being so ridiculous in saying that it is a minor update so it doesn't need to be on the main page. That's stupid. Not everyone plays the game constantly to know there is an update. They may check the front page, they may check the blog .. and so on and so fourth. Again you can't expect everyone to check the forums.

There is no reason to say it shouldn't be done, as it would take a few minutes to do it, and wouldn't cause any trouble. Those of you who disagree have no reason to disagree other then being stubborn and being trolls. I really hate people who disagree for stupid reasons.

I mean give me one darn good reason why they should not post it on the front page? What issue would that cause?

Look, I am just saying, it should really be posted at least on the main page. It's the main page for a reason. It's the very first page anyone will see when they look up the game. You want to make sure the info there is up to date. It's common sense >.>. Minor updates don't change the fact that it is still an update. I don't like people trying to justify it making it seem like I am saying something wrong here when I am clearly not. It's even worse because you click news from the main page and it isn't even on there either. That is my point. It's bad you can't find the update through the official site and have to come to the forums to find it.

Someone may not launch the game because their game isn't working. So they check the front page for updates. Well guess what .. they may miss it if they do not visit the forums. Here they are waiting for an update that is already released to fix their game, and here they do not know because it isn't posted where it should be.

And I agree with you xD I never said the opposite :P but really you should go ask Maxmaps why they didn't post it. It's his job to answer questions like those :)

I turned it off as it would tell me that there was a new update every time I loaded, regardless of the fact that I had the newest version. So I check the front page of the web site. This game is in alphs, pretty much all we have to look forward to is updates and patches, I dont think it's too much trouble for them to state that on the front page.

I have it on and it doesn't prompt me every time :l

Personally my reflex is to look in the "announcements" forum. Updates aren't usually posted there either. The latest major release is announced in a sticky lost in the midst of other stickies.

Nevertheless, I'm always noticing new important updates because of the hootin' and hollerin' by fellow fans when one comes out. There's a good community, which eases the burden on the devs a bit.
