The phoenix makes sense from a gameplay and modeling standpoint, Gameplay wise it's symmetrically equal, so it will be easier to fly, and it's designed from the ground up to be launched by an ICBM/Rocket. Modeling wise it's also the smallest of any startrek model that's been considered so far, so less work, also has a little bit of animation but not alot.....

Also it's just author's choice, Please note I don't speak for him, I just remember him deciding to do the phoenix to get started......

yes that is why i'm starting with the phoenix because its smaller and less detailed. so i think its a good starting point

have you asked frizzank about the fairings?

I will be making a Phoenix replica using stock,FASA gemini LR and the ARNE engine mod.

ill report back when I'm done.

not yet I wanna get the phoenix model made first before i contact frizzank... so I know the height of the fairings.

The Puffin Plugin- It is supposed to handle radiation of heat, from engines in space, and handle solar heating, as well as the frame-shift engine effects and possibly a VASMIR engine's function.

so the cockpit on the Phoenix was 4 meters so i have a cone (as a place holder) for that a cylinder for the body and i need to make an engine so far so good! also the Phoenix it self is 15 meters! frizzank here i come!
