cwm33
I have a bit of a connundrum, and that is I'm in love with both Ferram and Mechjeb, but the problem is I really like using the Ascent Guidance in Mechjeb, and when taking off from Kerbin it seems to do a very strange ascent when compared to how it did it without Ferram. There a way to make Mechjeb play nice with Ferram by fiddling around with the Ascent profile or something like that?Any help would be appreciated. PeterF98
I know to be a bit late but i had the same problem and just found the solution http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/60933-Optional-MechJeb-Modules-for-FAR-NEAR-km_Gimbal-(Dev-21)hope this helps you
Tex_NL
First of all get those optional modules Peter suggested. The will not solve your issues but they do help.Secondly totally ignore the terminal velocity settings in MechJeb. They do NOT work with FAR/NEAR!As with planes keep your CoL behind (below) your CoG. Add some fins to the bottom. They lower the CoL and add additional control.Edit flight path to start the gravity turn as low as possible: 691m. Keep the turn shape at 40%.Limit acceleration to something in the order of 17 to 18 m/s2.Once you're above 25km altitude remove the acceleration limit.
