[WIP] Low-Poly Cities for Kerbin

Hey guys !

I am proud to announce that I am officially part of the project :)

I'll be doing all the modelling and texturing of the buildings. So far I only have this sample to show you ( rendered in maya, ingame footage will follow soon enough )

I'd just like to say that I don't like the idea of building your own roads. I agree with Nova that you guys should write a plugin using PQSCity so that the cities are permanently placed and spawned when the game loads.

Well then you can download cities that other people made if you don't feel like building your own ones.

Also, the mod will include a few cities for those who don't want to build.

I am not the one in charge of this part of the job, see with Frogbull :)

So happy your working on this too Globox. I have been glued to this thread since it started, very excited about this one!!

Your models look wonderful, and some of the city pics Frogbull posted are just amazing. Really can't wait to see how this one turns out.

Glad you like them :) it's all work in progress at the moment, but I feel that by the end of the month we should have made a prototype city to see how that looks ingame.

Small update on the mod :

- Frogbull is working on the way to implement cities and has achieved good progress ( nothing to show now though ).

- I have made some progress with the models, let me know what you think :

Also, first ingame sneak peak at the buildings, Jersted is thinking about renting a flat ;)

They have a collision tolerance based on their size to make it "realistic", so Kerbals can walk on them but a crash with a plane or rocket will destroy them, depending the size and speed of said craft.
