Spiritwolf/Hanland Submissions

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if Macey is going to accept modular stuff. The only things he has been sending so far were to-orbit-in-one-go big ships. What o you guys think? I mean, he has to build a space station someday, right?

While I'm not making any large battle ships, I'm still going to attempt to send him what I have in hopes he finds a use for it. I think the more options he's presented with, the better story and world he can build using our resources.

Macey did ask for space station parts under Aid Ships, if I recall correctly.

But with Spiritwolf's current state, I don't think building a space station ranks high on the priority list.

ksp ship ideas : scorptec scrambler sattelite : launches a hail of bits to stop missiles ,And has an armoured front useful for defending something by getting in front of the approaching missile.

scorptec Ram3R : has a strut pole at the front which it uses to ram things

other weapons could include: small anti missile hail, pole

launchers, and maybe a landing gear surrounding that could devastate enemy hollow ships by lowering its gear inside it, And finally a tiny missile pack.

If these ideas interest anyone i will implement our researchers and engineers to build them

And I'm back. This time with Proof of Travel

Ship- Megatherion Super Tanker

Company- Starr Industries

Allegiance- Spiritwolf

Proof of Travel-

The launch stage still has issues... Any advice on fixing it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll also post this on the first page for those who want an example of proof of travel in the form of a video.

remove ALL the fuel lines on the launcher and do it again with desired symmetry i had that issue with my lifter and that was how it ended up getting fixed. also are you still gonna do the battle vids?

The core philosophy of KerbComm Inc. since its inception has been to provide affordable and reliable commercial development of space for the betterment of all Kerbalkind, so officially the very idea of weaponizing space is abhorrent to the company. Unofficially, the non-existent weapons division of KerbComm RND has finished developing the KCX-4 "THOR".

THOR is an autonomous high-orbit self-guided torpedo deployment platform designed to carry 4 self-guided extreme-range Lightning torpedoes. Lightning torpedoes specialize in the destruction of large and ponderous targets such as orbital installations or ground emplacements from any point in a given sphere of influence. As THOR carries 4 of these torpedoes and can be stationed anywhere in system, the THOR platform is designed as a major deterrent to establishing a large scale presence.

The THOR platform is equipped with multiple redundant communications arrays to extend the time it can operate without maintenance before becoming ineffective for accurate weapons deployment. THOR mounts a large battery capacity and a number of solar panels allowing continuous operations, and has a large store on internal Monopropellant and fuel to ensure all lightning torpedoes are launched at full capacity. It features 4 external mounts primarily for lightning torpedoes, but capable of mounting anything with a size 2 universal docking port.

Each Lightning torpedo contains a large store of internal fuel giving it an enormous effective range with the primary nuclear engine. Lightning also mounts 8 secondary radial engines designed for sudden bursts of speed if intercepted or for use on final approach. The front end of the lightning torpedo features a hardened plate and large structural beam granting additional penetration if forced to collide at lower velocities. Lightning torpedoes also mount a moderate battery supply and solar panels, ensuring they can always operate until they strike.

Following the recent defeat at the hands of the Hanland Corporation, Spiritwolf has purchased the blueprints to THOR in order to help restore control of the system. Spiritwolf adamantly denies being a military focused company, so is likely preparing to use the THOR in an effort to force a truce, with the intention to only use it in the most dire circumstances.

I tried that and still had the same result :l

In regards to Community Fight Night, I can do it but my part restriction would have to be rather extreme. Because I'm currently making videos off of a laptop I just don't have the capability to hold large engagements. My computer becomes noticably laggy around 300 to 400 parts. :(

In the last 14 pages there are less than 10 actual Laythe capable submissions. It seems to be more a discussion thread than a submission thread

Discussion is good. It keeps people motivated and wanting to make those Laythe capable ships. ;)

They're mostly Hanlan ship submissions, or just gun tests.

I know my Sentinel can get to Jool, but I'm too unskilled to get an equatorial orbit, thus screwing the mission.

Added on to that, I'm currently managing my Duna mission with the Sentinel, so my time's pretty much full.

Anyone care to do a proof-of-travel for me?

Craft file here.

The latest version is the MK16R2, but that only adds a parachute to the eject pod, as well as making the rovers Duna-capable.

Apparently not, half the submissions are mine and I haven't been participating otherwise.

Well, Macey's been rather quiet these few days, the hype's dying down at last.

Once it quiets down we'll start to see serious submissions, right now it's all "omgIrwantbeinshow"

Most people are also waiting (even macey) for 0.21, to see how it will affect their designs.

RCS becomes more efficient, standard SAS modules become more useful, all vessels require a lot more power. New parts are mainly probe sized with a sprinkle of 2m adapters.

Sentinel makes it to Jool with no problems, but it is one of the most sluggish ships I have ever flown and the cowling on the nuclear engine blows up the entire ship when jettisoned. I would add more RCS and replace the nuke engine with something else.

I realized as much on my Duna mission, I've switched it out in favor of the engine used in Macey's Shades (can't recall the name).

I've added a bit more RCS ports, but it still doesn't seem to turn any faster than awfully slow. Any other ideas?

Once 0.21 comes out you can add a bunch of reaction wheels to help it turn. Otherwise it is pretty solid, but I didn't test the rover deployment.

Rover deployment and probe deployment was documented in my Duna mission, it works pretty well, besides the fact that the rover does have a habit of yawing slightly during burns. (RIP Halwell, the nuclear engine killed you)

Also, should I forego the ion engines? With the dV the Sentinel can lug around, I think they're rather redundant.

I just retrofit my ships all they need is reaction wheels.

ah i feel you. my laptop is the only thingthatll run ksp right now. (im thinking its the ssd in it.)

in regards to .21 i guess ill need to refit the mk3's or just make a mk4 with the data ive gathered since over half my ships need the torque from the capsule to turn. oddly enough the fighters are .21 compliant with the battery on the nose for docking guidance. i dont really want to re submit them to macey since he is still probably flooded with emails at this point. but we will see what happens
