StarVision, first, your mods are excellent! Type 40 Time And Relative Dimension In Space capsule is too much fun, as well is the Star Trek vessels. I have a challenge for you, the Jool Jupiter Mining Corporation ship, the Red Dwarf, Star Bug and Blue Midget.

Despite it being kind of low on the poll, I plan on creating it eventually. Probably starbug first. Although Red Dwarf is more iconic, it's pretty massive.

I'll create another list on my plan, mostly for my benefit.

1. Release Voyager (fix some texture issues)

2. Release Tardis v3, K-57-D, and Enterprise v3 (all partly finished)

3. Something not Star Trek (Starbug?)

4. Modular Starship parts.

hi, using the voyager cfg as a test thing for my Daedalus, how do I make it more responsive in the cfg, as I had to make it bigger?? not having issue by the way with the impulse drive

Increase the torque in the Reaction wheel module. I had to do this for the Enterprise with the 0.23.5 update.

Plugin News:

several new subsystems finished, tricorder redone, and soon a new release for you guys..

All bugs no one reported will not be fixed I'm afraid..

Well - that's not true - I fixed several hundred bugs in the last few days..

How about Normandy SR-2 from Mass Effect or something from that universe (they have some nice looking ships).attachment.php?attachmentid=2599&d=1335780565 Or perhaps something from the Alien universe. Such as the USS Sulaco or the iconic UD-4L Dropship from Aliens.

I would actually love to see your talents go towards real world concepts that never really had a chance. I am sure if you delve into the concepts of rockets and planes that never got off that ground you could find a lot of interesting stuff. What about the NASA warp drive concept? fqakg2q4nqjveo3qrf7g.jpg

feeling I should not post my work in this thread, lol, but I don`t advertise much. as for future stuff, I didn`t on planning a very hard ship to make lol. rockets left to make.

I had to cut it down to 20 k, but I added a low poly mesh to all parts. it got a front loading cargo bay, 2 big cargo bay, 2 small ones next to it with animated doors, yes, guest I can only add 1 animation part, starvision

as for future plans, not sure, maybe a starbase,looking up all kinds of pics, reason was asking what size u can have that will draw the textures, as in skyrim it had a cut point that it can`t draw. but there are so many ships I can make, might try a flying futuristic car, something simpler lol.never made a mod that took me this long, got a futuristic dome that would fit great in this game, released over 5-6k meshes for games , I`m sure I got something that could fit in here lol, but I will make new stuff, more fun to see your stuff work

starvision, anyway to make robot legs to work, like star wars at-at, was thinking of it, like a invisible wheel under the legs,etc???2 legs would be good

I hope you can figue this out, as a AT-AT on the surface of Kerbin walking around the Vab or on the surface of Duna would be pretty cool. :D And as for you release thread. Why not just ask Starvision if you can just release it here as part of the Sci-Fi shipyards or something

there are currently fluctuations in the structure of the developpment we had so far..

Different release schedules forced us to reconsider.

StarVision came up with this.

It seems he would prefere if the plugin would be a independent download.

In short: Is anyone intrested in an own thread for LCARS related questions and mods?

Actually I'm afraid that thread would be a dead zombie after 2 days. lol

However - determining the potential of an own thread for the LCARS plugin is the topic right now.

Benefits: This would allow to create a mod-list in the first post to feature all creations like your deadalus.

Each has: Pic, creator, name, short description, link.

After all, if it was made to work with LCARS - we could aswell pull somewhat together on the publishing end.

There I could link to what ever method of publishing you choose for your ships.

Either you make an own thread or post just a link in the LCARS thread..

Since this plugin can work with any creations, this would actually make a lot of sense..

If many modders participate, this could become a HUGE fleet list of new kind of KSP ships.

I would love that idea.. - it was hard work to code that thing - less than 2000 mods would be a dissapointment haha

(I warned you before, I am megalomaniac lol)

No seriousely - allready now, we have enough LCARS ships in dev to formulate the need for a central registry so the KSP players can come choose and click.

No matter if StarVisions great ships or all th awesomness there is to come..

They should all be listed together somewhere if they fly with impulse - because impulse is a KSP game breaker.

It's a new/different game with LCARS. Let's show the flag and make a fleet list!

mjy: Would you personally consider using that thread for your creations?

without modders like you, that thread would be a useless waste of time and bytes..

yes your getting down to finishing your impulse drive or doing touch up, prob a good time to add a post for it and linking all ships that can or will use that pluging

prob a post with impulse drive /custom ships, etc, not sure what u could add, if u start one just tell me I`ll post in there

been fooling around with the impulse again, any way to change the direction of the ship with the speed following the direction

Speed? not sure what you mean?

if you want to drive ahead and the ship does not, your model is rotated wrong..

If that is not the problem, please specify..

Beta 6 is online..

See first post, click on plugin download, there select the version and then hit "raw"

Finally, the leak is cared about and the hole planet-scanner is remade and fits the window now.

a felt 1.7million bugs are fixed.. - only 1.2 billion to go..

Feedback and bugreports appreciated as allways.

Also updated the source code at github.. and almost finished the wiki.

..and I'm working on some graphics for my signature and the thread..

I'll get around to starbases at somepoint. I just have a lot on my plate at the moment, But it's definitely planned.

Please, for the love of goodness, give us a download link for this.

I'd like to, and for the past couple of hours I've been trying to get it working, but the airlock refuses to work. I've done this plenty of times before, but for some reason it doesn't work this time. If anyone really wants it they can give it a shot. Here's a download link with the part and the .blend file. Hopefully I'll get it figured out eventually, but anyones welcome to try it.

You've gotten me interested. I've seen that design before, but I think I'd prefer to create this one. It just seems more "Star Trek". Mind you this is all in the future. I'll decide later.

Those banners are looking really good, although it brings up a question. Do you never raise the landing gear? In your videos and that image the landing gear is always down. Is there a reason?

Anyways, I'm back for another month of staying at home, so I should be able to do more work. First goal is to complete and release Voyager. That should be finished this week. After that I'll finish up all my half-done projects, then other stuff.

But guess what - a few hours ago, I've decided to raise the gear for the new clip..

The voyager in the pic is a cut out from here:

the gear bothered me too there - but was too lazy o make a new screenshot - oh well..

Hint: if you upgrade the plugin, you should read the readme in the Impulse folder..

I've already included the new modules in my config. Also the videos looking good, although I can tell your computer is suffering.

Here's the latest progress on Voyager's texture. I removed most of the fake light sources. I think it's finally done. A release should happen sometime this week.

not really a clue what could cause this..

you add the impulse drive to the mech jeb part?

Wow - never thought of this happening - the low weight of the part might produce trouble for crew quartiers and cargo bay - but that would only come up when the ship is loaded..

If it crashes at the loading screen, I would say check the logs..

you will see which part reports what problem.

my best guess is you have a syntax error in one of the cfg files..

check your logs, if that does not tell you how to fix it, post the important lines here - I will have a look..

(don't post a 3 meter log please - just the needed lines)

This might seem like a silly question, but how does one go about achieving a stable orbit with impulse. Mine end up all over the place.

Impulse will constantly pull on your ship while it's running..

KSP does not like that and calculates a lot of orbit-line movement.

but that is not an issue..

you can:

- deactivate impulse to stabilize your orbit

- activate "Full halt" to keep your position

- hit "Hold speed" and Hold height" and configure your orbit that way..

the latter option allows even for stuff like this:
