refuelling orbital station causes ship break up

as title,

I have a fuel station orbiting Kerbin, I dock a large container to top up the tanks so that the station is FULL,

but filling the last tank begins sympathetic vibrations and wobble until the whole structure explodes

it doesn't matter which one I fill last .. it ALWAYS explodes filling it up

what am I doin wrong ?

Odd...you're not enabling SAS or trying to maneuver are you?

no, but if I try and accelerate time it says unable under thrust

Did either ship have SAS enabled (particularly on the target ship) before you docked? I've found that this can cause issues once you dock where sometimes ASAS is trying to control the ship attitude even though the indicator is turned off. Having large wobbly craft docked can actually cause it's own acceleration by the torque in the command pods / SAS modules which is why you would be getting the timewarp under acceleration warning.

When i dock I tend to get a little shock wobble from the actual docking. smash the warp key as fast as possible, and sometimes can get it to stablized via the zoom.

Make sure SAS is off.

I guess the COG (Center of gravity) shift from refueling is enough to cause wobble. Unintended bug that simulates "slosh" in the tanks?

Try using the fuel balancer mod and see if filing the tanks evenly gives the same problem.

sometimes when i build big things that dock at multiple points this happens, generally because when i docked not all the docking ports were perfectly aligned, and they bend and warp to achieve the dock, sometimes this causes extra stress on parts of the station, especially when thera are large masses involved, might be whats hapenning here
