your fastest interception ?

Hello :) i would like to know what was your fastest orbital interception (being at less than 2.3 km from your target, with a relative speed < 10m/s)

i just managed to do one it was my intended interception target, but i never intended to intercept it before circularization.... -it just happened that i reached my apopasis at the same time as my target :) so i directly matched velocities with my target instead of normally circularizing :P

so :P i would like to know what was your best time to interception ? :)

(your pictures and stories are welcome :P)

here, 11 minuts after takeoff

I was speeding towards the mun space station i wanted to dock to, at about 4km/s. I slowed it down to a stop about 700 meters from it.

He means quickest in terms of time from launch, not the actual relative velocity.

11mins from launch is pretty quick. I'm not sure what my quickest time was, but when I was building my spacestation, I got pretty good at knowing when to launch my rockets. Average time was probably just over 20mins inflight time.

The first time I did an interception it took me about 45 minutes (docking was just new back then), the second time was 30 minutes, but now when I do an interception to dock it takes me just about 15 or 20 minutes depending the target orbit. I always wait for the best time to launch.

Oh i see, well it was like 15 minutes or something like that.

5 minutes 43 seconds after launch from KSC. Rocket was basically a 4-5 TWR launch stage with a 3 man pod on the top of it so it absolutely screamed thru the atmosphere (got reentry heat on the way out) yes i know that's a lot of drag loss. It was timed (via a lot of quicksave attempts to see if I could do it) to intercept on the ascent. It took like another 3 or 4 minutes to eva kerbals across and let the launch rocket plummet back down to a firey death.
