I find it interesting how Earth's aphelion and perihelion just happen to coincide with the seasons at our current time. It is too bad that they will slowly move away from those dates until they reach the exact opposite points of the year, and will do this again and again until Earth experiences major changes.

Well, now the earth will begin to pick up speed, falling slightly faster towards perihelion than we rose to aphelion.
