ROV3 1: Small Research Rover (SRR)

.craft: http://www./download/1t...u/ROV3_1.craft

Description:

screenshot506.png

The ROV3 1 is the pinnacle* of compact rover technology. It boasts only 16 parts, and has a parachute for solo atmospheric landings.

It also has lamps on both ends, a Communotron 16 antenna for communication with the KSC, and two Z-100 battery packs. We recommend you

do not take it over 15 m/s, and be sure to slow down along curves and bumps. When you're up to speed, let it coast for a minute to

recharge (its power consumption rate does slightly exceed its solar intake); while coasting, it loses only .2 m/s per second while in

the double digits of the speedometer.

For its test run on Kerbin, we sent it to explore the monolith nearby KSC.

ROV3 2 Large Exploration Rover

.craft: http://www./download/gm...h/ROV3_2.craft

screenshot556.png

The 53-part ROV3 2 LER is a wide, base-friendly unkerbaled rover designed for bumpy terrain. Its features include: One Communotron 16 antenna, one Z-400 battery, three parachutes (one Mk16, two Radial), four Instruments of Science TM, and two Clamp-O-Tron docking ports. It is slightly near to the ground, but if you're careful, you should have no problems with it.

ROV3 3C Large Personnel Transporter (LPT)

.craft: http://www./download/j3.../ROV3_3C.craft

screenshot592.png

Standing strong at 44 parts, the ROV3 3C is designed with bases in mind. Built to carry up to eight Kerbonauts at once, this rover is best used in low-gravity environments such as the Mun. Don't ask us what happened to ROV3 3A and ROV3 3B, because we're not sure either. Be advised: Do not under any circumstances take it above 20 m/s, and never hop down a steep slope. We care about the safety of your Kerbals, and more importantly the preservation of expensive space equipment.

The ROV3 3C LPT has two docking ports, a Shielded Docking Port and a Clamp-O-Tron Sr. BYOB (Bring Your Own Batteries).

ROV6 Kerbal Transport System

.craft: http://www./download/tc...t_System.craft

screenshot895.png

Need to move two Kerbals much faster than the snailpace they call "running?" The ROV6 is your rover! It seats two Kerbals on either

side of its QBE controller. It has landing legs for stowing it away in your space garage. And it has a meager 12 parts.

Going through the motions at KSC:

screenshot896.png

It's actually pretty resilient, if you're not too fond of the landing legs.

Kerbals!

screenshot908.png

Special thanks to Buzz and Munwin Kerman, who volunteered for this test.

screenshot909.png

Munwin looking very enthusiastic.

screenshot910.png

So order now! It even has patent-pending "landing-legs-break-when-you-deploy-them-while-going-over-0.5-meters-per-second" action!

ROV2 MicroScoper

ROV2 MicroScoper Miniature Scout

.craft: http://www./download/ol...roScoper.craft

screenshot1045.png

The ROV2 MicroScoper was created as a solution to a problem: How can I scope terrain without climbing into a cumbersome 60-part four-wheeler that might not even fit on a rocket? Well, you don't need to fund that teleportation research anymore, because we've got a rover that's compact, light, and boasts a whole 17 parts. The ROV2 is fairly sturdy, and has a cruising speed of around 8 m/s. It decelerates fairly slowly, though it also accelerates very slowly, and it eats up power like you wouldn't believe. Due to its power consumption, it's basically a solar panel on wheels, but it cruises well and can climb a decent hill. Just don't crash it into anything at 10 m/s. You could just sell the front wheels instead.

Driving with Docking Mode is a necessity.

It has over 2000 units of electrical storage.

Just don't turn it at all over, oh, eight meters per second. Void if modified into something that actually has a use.

Moving away from the ROV line, employee SuperWeegee4000 has discovered a world of rovers unlike any previously seen*. Presenting the Kerbal Minivan.
