How do you discover easter eggs?

I found two that are near KSC by driving an early, rocket-propelled rover around. I also found a Mun-arch on the Mun by looking down from very low orbit, though it took a very long time to land a ship anywhere near it!

Later on I used ISA MapSat to scan for the others, and the Muon detector to get close to them. Much less work!

I didn't find an easter egg, but a terrain anomaly created a humungous hill of sand on Eve that I spotted as I descended to Eve on a failed landing attempt. Went back and drove a rover over 100km to see it up close.

There are some mods that help find them too. I don't know if it's kept updated, but the Muon-detector mod is one that helped find them without giving their location away completely. It let you track them down with hot/cold indications once you were in range of one. ISAmapsat gives you the option to show them on a map when its scanner passes over them. Although, Mapsat seems to be hit or miss for people since the 0.20 update.
