Folding parts

Is there any way to put parts folded and then, when deployed, unfold them?

I have a big probe that I want to make smaller by folding the arms holding the solar panels so it can fit in the fairings:

If there is no way to do that now, I'm giving you a good idea for modders to develop!

Damned Robotics has a lot of hinges and rotating part you could use to do this! The official mod has yet to be updated for .20, but I know there's a working patch going around renamed Infernal Robotics. I don't know exactly where the download is, so maybe someone else who uses it could provide you with a download link.
