As usual, the culprit is lack of struts.

The Kerbal X could seriously use an SAS. It's a good craft, otherwise. It doesn't really act well as a Mun lander like advertised, though.

I think they are bad so new players can get the hang of building by making them work(my first ssto branched off the aeris)

The Super-Heavy lander actually does have a point to the angled engines.

NASA angled the engines on the skycrane for Curiosity, and the drop pods for Opportunity and Spirit, as well as many other craft such as the Soyuz' landing stage's retrorockets.

The reason to angle engines is because, while you lose a slight amount of thrust due to not having the engine on a perfect vertical angle, you do, however, gain stability by distributing the thrust about a wider area, making it harder for your center of mass to go outside of your base of support, and making it harder to topple over..

So it's really not fair to say that angled engines are pointless on landers.

Albatross is probably the best stock plane out of the set. It's designed to mimic a real bird, and it does. When you try to turn it, it tilts to the side, because that's what real birds do, and real birds do that because it's more efficient.

For the people who are having trouble landing it: If your engines are on while you're trying to land, you're doing it wrong. This plane's a glider

Genial, I have actualy seen the lights then looking for probes then doing approaches during night but never thought about using them as indicators.

Personally I quite like the Skycrane + Rover. Lots of fun - I've landed them (or minor variations) on Eve, Gilly, the Mün, Minmus, Duna, and Ike.
