The 3 meter command capsule.

While assembling my space stations and crewing them I found that I have the tendency to spend far to much time with crew transfers and stuff because the largest stock command capsule has a crew of 3 and the Dragon mod has 7 but only (in my opinion) looks good with the rest of the Dragon components. So I decided I'd start working on a 3m command capsule with a crew of about 7-8, maybe more with working lights inside :D and outside for docking purposes, small amounts of electricity and monopropellant. I might make a 3 meter (ish) ÃÂÛÃÅ“ÃÂ× style command capsule aswell. If you have any ideas for this then feel free to suggest them.

Adding a lip with more outward facing sides at the end of a cylinder covers the edges and obscures the number of sides, so with proper texture work it's less obvious that it's low poly, the stock fuel tanks do this. The texture obscures the faces and the lip obscures the edges so you can't just look at it and quickly say how many faces there are, allowing them to have fewer polys and look just as good.

Yeah except having a lip around the edges looks completely retarded.

that's all about implimentation, I think most of the stock tanks look better because of the lip, the orange one looks odd because it's orange, the rest of them it fits into the design and serves as an intermediary visual element between the tank, command pods, and engines.

Just to make sure that I'm doing the right thing for collision meshes, do I make a simplified version of the model then put it in the same place as the original model then do some stuff in Unity to set it as the mesh.
