Flipping rovers, and EVA kerbals.

Recommended Posts

My Minimus rover just flipped. An hour or two of icy sliding away from anywhere.

Can EVA kerbals flip rovers over? I heard somewhere they could, but I can't find the right-click menu for it.

Also, the hell caused it? I was just coasting along, like I had been for the last while, alt-tabbed in, and found that it was pitching. Attempts to correct it made it take off and tumble.

Nothing's broken, but there's no srimech mounted due to size constraints.

Is poor Cormin Kerman stranded? Should I just hop the lander over to him and call the mission a bust?

Only by bumping into it. Can even try flying into it at speed with your EVA pack. There's no right-click feature for it.

Think you answered your own question.

If you have a probecore on the rover you should be able to get it back up the right way unless it's a really heavy one.

As for being stranded, you can (land and) get up into orbit from Minmus with your EVA pack, so no, he's not stranded.

He's still stuck walking/jetpacking back to the dang ship, which might just take off without him.

I'd been alt-tabbing in and out for two hours to check trajectory and make changes. Ah, well. Screw Minimus anyway; it's a pain to get to. Even if I just figured out how to get there quickly.

Using the probe core worked, though. Wai~

But it won't move. How can I tell if the wheels are broken?

Because torque happens.

Did you try rightclicking on them? Did you try zooming in to look closer? Is the parking break on?
