Original Star Trek/ KSP Crossover

I thinking about writing crossover fiction about Star Trek and KSP,

The plot would be that commander Spock noticed strange radio signal from uncharted Solar System aka Kerbol System, and Discover pre-Warp Civilization setting their first steps in space exploration:D

In one universe, Kirk has already broken the Prime Directive after accidentally crash-landing near a manned Laythe expedition:

They're trying to maintain a discreet distance and observe, maybe looking into beaming an away team down to set up a monitoring station, when the prototype Kerbin orbiter crashes headlong through the shuttle bay doors and gets stuck. A rather surprised security detail bursts in to find Bob having a nervous breakdown and Bill walloping Jeb over the head with a broken off strut connector.

Things just get more surreal from there.

My version would be an interplanetary rocket that was built in orbit encountering the enterprise while en route to Jool. At which point the Enterprise simply follows along at a distance.
