Darkshadow
Just a thank you for this topic. It was the material I used to achieve both orbit and mun landing for the first times. The step by step guides are really got yet general enough to be used for flying the ships I designed. It\'s really useful and I think it should be stickied to help other people new to KSP. venku122
I suggest that anybody with an an Android get the ksp orbital app. That\'s how I got into orbit. And that was before the map and timewarp and this guide
AKM
Hi Ivan, I\'m very new to this, and have made a right bungle of getting off the ground, but this beginners guide you wrote is fantastic, and now I\'m enjoying the whole concept & getting on with it, instead of muttering to myself how shit I am.Thanks very much for the guide, it\'s invaluable for dumbasses like me..Cheers cobber. Jadis
Thank you so much! I could not figure out how to get into orbit and I always just went out into space and either rocketed out into space or ended back on Kerbal. Just now, I had an awesome trip! I got into orbit around Earth a few times and played with messing with my Apoapsis and Periapsis a bunch. Then, I decided to see if I could get to the moon. I got lucky and was able to get very close to the moon right away, and then orbited the moon a few times, and then got back to Earth and landed! I\'m so happy. I can\'t wait for more planets to be added. Thanks. I used your orbiter also.
Mattstopher
Ivan, this guide is really fantastic Thanks for taking the time to write it for us newbie Kerbanauts! One thing I\'d like to ask though: could you explain the use of fuel lines? I\'ve not tried them yet mainly due to worry over screwing up an otherwise efficient spacecraft that doesn\'t utilise the extra fuel tanks properly. Ivan Ivanovich
Thanks for all the replies, I will try to keep the rockets updated. Though I\'m not entirely sure whether I should update to the 'pay' version or whether new rocket enthusiasts would probably benefit more from a version that uses the free version, considering that most people will probably try before buying... decisions, decision. In the meantime, fuel lines. ... I guess I\'ll start a new topic about that, here it\'s probably going to be lost too easily in the static. RealDarko
I\'m having serious problems getting my rockets into orbit, I can control my rockets enough to stabilize my orbit and the fuel runs too early. Any idea? Should I get a better control part?

Any idea? Should I get a better control part? Can you post an image of your ship? That might help to figure out what\'s going on. Or download one of the ships in this thread. In general, use: only one ASAS, enough control authority, and enough engines for at least 2 G\'s at launch.
