If you allow me a suggestion, the eyes needs to be a bit bigger and more separated. I'm not sure how close you want to be to the "standard kerbal" but anyway, it looks amazing!

For a pose you could have him stood tall and proud, one hand on his waist and another holding a flag with the KSP logo on it? Right, lets give ACSII a go here:

EDIT: dammit, the spaces are cut out and it looks weird... Ill put in something to correct it..

Probably more of a memorial to him! there needs to be one with the way I like to crash (forget to add parachutes) all the time..

I went off on a tangent before I get to texturing the suit, having to refresh the cobwebbed part of my brain that deals with 3D design.

Probably redo the whole thing at some point, get the head proportioned correctly.

So is jeb dead? Hes frozen on the mun.

THIS would be a frozen Jeb :) not quite up to doing the "Carbonite" effect yet.

Two things:

One - lay off the detail on the hair - its just black in game

Two - Thin off his collar a little

This isn't like I could even attempt to get something like this even looking like a spastic octopus anyway ;)

Yes it's Blender 2.68a

It's really easy to learn, think of a subject, search youtube and there's probably a tutorial on it. hardest part is getting used to all the shortcut keys!

Rendered using the "Cycles" engine

Remodelled his head to be more "cylindrical" much better looking imo. Ignore his UV test pyjamas :)

Update

<image snip>

It doesn't look bad, but kerbals have a bit more stout of a body.

Kind of like this

But probably a bit more round in the gut area.

(P.S. Yes, this was done in blender, and yes, he has a beard.)
