How to resurrect kerbals?

While i was exploring the newly made and rendered buildings at the KSC, I encountered a bug which I have been familiar with. It tends to slingshot kerbals and nearby objects on escape velocities out of Kerbin. However, Bill was lost in the process. Is there a line in the persistent file that I can edit to bring him back, as he died because of a bug?

Jebediah was lost while he was piloting a new plane i had built for him at 1,528m/s, then he crashed upon landing.... Poor soul.

He's now listed as "lost" in 0.21.1, will i be able to recruit him again or is he lost for all eternity, his restless soul condemned to wander the plane hangar?
