Tier 4? lol What?

Tier 4 armor is when you reinforce the armor against a central spine not directly linked to the command pod. So when a projectile strikes your ship the impact is taken by the armor and reinforcement rather than simply knocking your command pod off within the armor. Also if you double layer or triple layer this it can prove almost impervious to smaller caliber weapons.

I'll end up explaining this probably in KSP Naval Academy Ep 9 Armor and Turn Based Tactics.

Yes if reinforced properly it takes several hits to kill it or you can be like me and figure out at witch speed your missile wigs out and ignore the armor :). I tend not to do this to often because it make it harder to aim the missile and I consider it an exploit. So don't worry I'm not killing cans with tetryon trans phasic modulation weaponry.

Kod is a thing people have made up on the forums, you know, the whole "Adding K to every word" routine. I'm agnostic/Athiest anyways so it doesn't make a difference to me either way. Like I said earlier, I'm just being silly and screwing around in my frustration with this MediaFire thing.

That's tier 3. Tier 4 is where the fuel tanks are also separated from the spine on separate pieces to even further improve shock absorption.

Yep :D that's how the Drek XIV is. Course, Still doesn't matter, at 2km (my favorite firing range) You can vaporize the insides of ships.

...so where did all these "tiers" get decided on?...

I wounder how long it take for them to notice this... and how long I need to wait untill I get a replie to my question...

It kinda just slipped in.Everyone had their own system mine and comrades became commonplace.

It's a load of ******** anyway the only difference is that you have an un-powered shell floating around orbit rather than a few panels. The lack of damage is only skin deep.
