Well i think what happened is as i was targeting your ships i lined them up so that on the off chance i killed one that bits would collide into one another and the came didn't handle it well because it was trying to do the physics for 2000 or so parts at 450mps. I'm hoping that it was not your intent to try to lag me out so that i could not hit you with a missile. ;).

Sneaky sneaky.

32 gig ram Phenom II quad core triple SLI Nvidia's trust me i run 1000 part ships regularly without crashing. The problem is the way the game proses its physics. It takes everything in a large area and attempts to calculate everything all at once. Trajectory speed proximity, all are forced into one calculation and if there are some objects that are close enough to be calculated because they are within the area they get counted and collide. From the save it looks like your ships actually collided with one another not my missile because my missile hit one the calculation for speed and trajectory changed and was calculated by rounding to the nearest number. So one ship changed direction and a piece of it hit the other or came withing 25m and then the other until they were all turned to well bits.

I do want to give you props for placement though. Very wise.

Ok here it is camulus :D sorry there really is a HUGE difference between the versions...

http://www./?4av95298s5l7nrg

The Drek XIV:

DOES NOT have reverse reloadable missiles

DOES NOT have redesigned control system

DOES NOT have "safe" dumb firing missiles

DOES NOT have more redundant engine systems

DOES NOT have more advanced strutting

DOES NOT have backup computer systems

The XIV-II HAS ALL THESE.
