A grappling hook for kerbals

Recommended Posts

Recently I was transferring the crew of two undocked vessels:confused: (derp) when the ships drifted away from each other whilst I was transferring a kerbal. This made me have to deorbit him. May the kerbal rest in peace. Anyway I believe the usage of a a grappling hook could be a small addition that would be a great addition to the Eva capabilitys of the kerbal. The could allow for exploration of caves and valleys to be made possible with out the use of jet packs. The grappling hook could also be used to connect two objects sort of like a strut (Like an asteroid) this could be Vital for an asteroid belt. Thanks for reading

I just got the image of one Kerbal grappling another Kerbal towards it, and yelling (in Scorpion's voice of course): GET OVER HERE!

A grappling hook would be nice, but since we don't have a crosshair, I wonder just how this would work.

it would be vital for a belt with objects that lack gravity

I think that this could merge with the magnetic shoes idea. It technically is in the Kerbal Attachment System mod, but not specifically for the kerbals and is probably better suited to attaching to stations which already have the winch.

the thing is though exploration of an asteroid belt needs this for outposts
