The Weka lifeboat spaceplane was intended as a cheap re-entry vessel for use in emergencies. Due to budget cuts and project cancellations, this manual flight only (no ASAS) budget spaceplane is now available for general use. Capslock mode is advised, as is short gentle stroking of the controls during landing. Suitable for land and water landings. Mun landings less so.

This pack has everything entrepreneuring kerbals need to get their first paying customers suborbital. The current version is just cockpit, fuel tank and engine. Working wings coming very soon. Feathered reentry coming as soon as there\'s a more elegant solution than custom parachutes.

Oooh nice.

I don\'t know if you did already, but if you can make your fuselage match up with the 1m parts in C7 spaceplanes, that would be awesome. I do love mixing and matching. :)

And your cockpit would go swell with a lot of things!

Looking nice. I too am trying to figure out landing for planes (wheels or strong stuts is where i going so far). recommendations would be to slice the nose of and make that a sas module. I did this with the light on the top of my tardis.

Nice model! I like the Virgin Galactic ideas so far. As to the feather entry, how about just a high altitude parachute? If you want it animated, make it the actual pivoting wings (make the 'cap' the fixed wing, and the 'canopy' the activated wing). You will still loose wings on landing though, so perhaps just make it an invisible parachute?

The plane uses normal landings once in the atmosphere, so you should not be able to land with a parachute/feather landing alone. Save some fuel for landing!

Hi, I\'ve been using your pack for a little bit testing it out. Seems balanced. Though is there any way you could make the fuel tank and the wings be two different objects instead of just one? Then the wings could actually generate lift instead of just sit there.

Just a suggestion, if you want to get the feathering effect on the wings, you could make them a separate part. There is a module called controlsrf. That has two parts. A base that doesn\'t move (used for attachment) and the control surface (part that moves). They generate lift like real wings, and the angle is controlled by the player. All you have to do is set the correct names of your models in whatever modelling software you\'re using for the animation to work. If you need any help with it, send me a message. :)

Close enough

Don\'t slam me because of the amount of RCS installed. That thing is horrifyingly unstable in pad and flight.

Oh, and it handles like a brick, too. =P
