Respawn Upon Death?

Hey Guys,

In the new update, there is a "Lost" tab present. So does this mean that if I accidentally kill Jebediah because of a bad ship build, I can never play as him ever again? Or can I revert back to the launch and he will be back? Also, if I end a flight then are the astronauts lost as well? Or do they just appear in the next flight? I don't wanna lose my Jeb.

well, you can't just end flight anymore. But if you haven't done a quick load since launch you should be able to revert back to the launch pad or VAB/SPH and just roleplay it as a premonition.

However, if you can't revert then they are lost. I lost 3 kerbals 2 days ago and they showed up on the lost list. But last night they didn't and I think they back on my available roster again. So I don't think anybody stays 'lost' for long.

supposedly once they die they are dead, but I have killed Jeb twice now without reverting, and dozens of time with reverting.

The default setting is for kerbals to respawn after some time. You can change this setting in the persitence file.

Kerbals will also appear as "Missing in Action" on the Lost list if they landed safely well away from the Kerbal Space Center. Eventually, they hitch a ride back and are ready to fly again.
