What the heck is going on with Jool? Is this a bug? (Pics)

So, this. I went to poke around at Jool- I wanted to see what would happen when I sunk a probe into it.

But this happened.

What was the black line in the last pic- an error?

Is the teeny ball in the third Jool's core? or a glitch?

What is with the crazy distortion of the first two pictures?

Jool is not the happiest place in the game, it's quite uh, laggy. And just weird. So a lot of weird stuff happens there for no reason.

I sunk a probe into Jool once. It fell through the floor, and continued orbiting around what I assumed to be it's center of gravity. It then exploded several times over, with my probe body conveniently being the last piece so I could retain a modicum of control.

Ahhhh. Well, at least I know I don't have to worry about firing another probe into it to see if it was a mistake. Darn. I was hoping to get to the core possibly. xD

Well the atmo is fairly thick in Jool at that point, or should be anyway.

At that point in his fall I got bored of waiting to see if his command pod would explode so took him eva. He ended up doing the funky chicken about 3 minutes later.

Not quite water, but some sort of liquid, wouldn't be surprised. /

He should be. Every mission he was on he has broken something in one way or another usually leaving him stranded.

This time he has a mission where he won't get yelled at for breaking things because it was his mission to break stuff, preferably himself...

I look at Jool at a big ball of soup that gets thicker as you descend. Eventually the pressure and buoyancy are so high that you end up just being part of the soup.
