New player - Blown away!

Hello peeps,

Recently discovered this sim. Got it a few days ago and I must say I'm blown away by the insane amount of things you can do in the sandbox mode. Building rockets, space planes, rovers, probes, flying in an atmosphere, in space, on other planets, docking, and just blowing sh*t up for fun!...and the list goes on a on. I love challeging sims and this one is prob the most challenging I've ever played.

I've been mostly playing flight sims, so I really enjoy the level of detail put into the physics and flight dynamics. Incredible!

And it's an Alpha product still! Diddly diddly damn!

Pointless post I know, but had to share my excitment.

I felt the same last month. Now I've clocked my 50th hour recently which is usually my switch off point for a long game. Instead I'm realizing how much more I can create in comparison to last month and eagerly awaiting some talk of the next update from the devs in the coming months. KSP is set to be my longest played game ever if it keeps this up, just 360 hours to go. I don't doubt that's gonna happen either

Not pointless at all! I think that most of us would sit here for pages simply singing the praises of KSP. The game needs much work, but it is already a blast to play, and very well developed. Welcome to the community.

i still hv a copy of v0.12 which was the current version when i got it

it was so barebone, and u couldnt do much beside going to the mun by blind guessing the ejection burn (no maneuver node by then)

yes, the game is super good considering how progressively it improved over the years

Atm, my only criticism of ksp would be the lack of science tools available, I would dearly love a reason to take a rover/probe/satellite to whatever planet to conduct research, grab samples, and return home. While I prefer the open approach to space exploration and ship design in ksp, Take On Mars which has just released as an early access title on steam blows ksp out of the water in looks and for the level of exploration and research it offers.

My biggest complain is with myself for not staying focused on one task while I'm building something. Keep getting ideas for other stuff while I'm tyring to build something simple...ends up being a frankin-rocket-monster hahah

I know that! And another thing along this way: "Tyren, you gotta keep it small and agile" BLOB "why the heck is my payload heavier than my planned wessel Oo"

Page 2 of praising KSP \o/
