Fuel lines and struts problem

Recommended Posts

Hi people,

Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this. I have a rocket which i am using to send a fuel storage up to my station. The launch vehicle is well...terrible. It shakes all of the time and its not reliable. Anyway the Fuel line and strut problem. When i go to the pad sometimes a fuel line or a strut has not been attached. When this happens i go back to the VAB and the fuel line or strut is there, but it just didn't go on the rocket at launch! This causes great problems further on if you have asparagus staging.

Thanks

Rob

are they "just not there", or do they get a "breaking" entry in the mission report?

I only had stuff like that happen to my struts when they broke right after loading the vehicle, I didn't see or hear that either, but it was at least mentioned in the mission report. Parts not showing up on the launchpad isn't something I have ever encountered for my ships, though I might have missed it aswell, I rarely use fuellines, and I often use so many struts that I might oversee it if 1 or 2 are missing.

Build a better one or tweak your current one to solve your problems.

This potentially comes from it shaking so that they snap. I've had an actual bug where stuff looks attached in the VAB but aren't properly so at launch but a redesign or just a relocation of the offending pieces solves that.

So to reiterate:

1. Build a better launch vehicle

2. Redo your struts and fuel lines.
