I sat down today and planned out my first year of launches (after "today" in my game: Year 1, day 43) using Alex Moon's launch planner. Some of the earlier launch windows are suboptimal, but I found I could still get a decent window even though I had missed an earlier one (I've also already made trips to Moho and Eve in this save game). Arrival times are assumed to be approximations because I can't set up a maneuver node with such precision.

Does anybody else do this sort of thing? Does anyone have a "standard template" of launch windows created for starting a new game?

That's an interesting way to plan it. So far, I've just been doing a mix of seeing what's coming, and choosing the windows I want.

Well, to be honest, I have this irrational fear of using the time warp, so planning it all out in advance calms me down.

yes i do. I got a spreadsheet with everything from launch-windows to delta-v calculations, TWR, and so on. Every equation i could find for KSP
