No relative speed display in .21?

I'm trying to dock with another ship, and I have the ship set as my target, but it won't give me my speed relative to the target. I'm finding it really hard to zero my speed for docking. Anyone have any tips or tricks?

Is it possible you accidentally clicked on the speed display? Doing that cycles it through the Surface, Orbit and Target modes, so if you are docking then clicking it can switch from Target to Orbit. This has caught me out a couple of times!

If you did then clicking on it again will restore the Target speed mode.

Ninja'ed!

No. I just didn't know you could cycle through the displays. I was just looking at the default surface speed display.

actually...

it switches AUTOMATICALLY from orbit to target when the ships get close enough

but if it doesnt (which seldom happens) you can always CLICK THE SPEED DISPLAY to cycle through orbit/ surface/ target as mentioned above
