docking ports

Can you send a ship up that's joined by to joined by two docking ports on take off, split them up and rejoin them?

I made a rover that raises itself up with landing legs the docking ports touch the ships port but it don't attach!

Any thoughts?

To your question, yes you can, but you have to get far enough to enough for them to reset, about 5m IIRC.

For me it usually is about three times the diameter of a regular Docking Port. Back up a bit, then try docking again. Works fine for me

Above the field where you post your message should be a small drop-down menu where you can choose the [unanswered] prefix.

Also, as others said, you should try driving your rover away a dozen metres and then driving it back. If it doesn't work, and you're good at docking, try to release it in space, get out of physics rendering range, then fly back in and try to dock, see if that works. If not, i dunno what else could be stopping you.

When you create a new thread in the gameplay questions area there is a dropdown box, above where you put the thread title, with two options (unanswered/answered). Normally you would choose 'unanswered' when you first post then edit it to 'answered' later on. You may have left that at 'no prefix' and that's why it wouldn't let you post.
